Adobe launches Photoshop's web version with Firefly-powered AI tools | TechCrunch

Sep 28, 2023 - techcrunch.com
Adobe has officially launched its web version of Photoshop for users with paid plans. The web-based Photoshop, which was in beta testing for nearly two years, now includes Firefly-powered AI tools such as generative fill and generative expand. The company has also made it easier for users to collaborate on files by sharing links with others, even if they don't have a subscription.

However, the web version is still missing some tools such as the patch tool, pen tool, smart object support, and polygonal lasso, but Adobe is working on incorporating these features. Despite the launch, Adobe has no current plans to offer a free or freemium version of Photoshop on the web.
