The use of ChatGPT, a chatbot, among American adults has increased from 18% in July 2023 to 23% in February 2024, according to a survey by Pew Research Center. The survey, which involved 10,133 U.S. adults, found that usage was highest among adults under 30 (43%) and those with a postgraduate or other advanced degree (37%). The chatbot is being used for work, learning, and entertainment, with the share of employed Americans using it for work rising from 8% to 20% within a year.
