Apple unveils iOS 18 with more customization options | TechCrunch

Apple has revealed the first details of iOS 18, its upcoming major release, at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The new operating system will focus on artificial intelligence, with new intelligence capabilities aimed at inspiring developers and delighting users. Other features include new customization options for icons and the home screen, updates to the control center, the ability to individually lock apps, updates to messages and mail, new capabilities for the wallet, updates to the journaling app, and a game mode.

The Photos app is also getting a significant redesign, with a unified, single view and the ability to filter and organize collections. Users will also be able to create pinned collections and customize the app to their favorite photos. Other features include an autoplaying video of favorite photos and videos, called the carousel, and new favorite moments to watch every day.
