As Generative AI Disrupts Music, Artists Elevate Co-Creation

Nov 30, 2023 - forbes.com
Award-winning singer and songwriter Grimes is collaborating with Los Angeles-based CreateSafe to build Triniti API, a generative AI music production platform that artists can use to create and distribute music. The platform allows rights-holders of music IP to license their assets for pay when their data is used in Triniti's models. Artists can also distribute their work using DSPs like Spotify, Apple, and Tidal. Grimes has also partnered with Australian DJ and producer Kito, who used Grimes' tech startup Elf.tech to create a song featuring Grimes' voice.

CreateSafe has partnered with Slip.stream, a music technology platform that provides a licensing platform for its users to download and safely use tracks and sound effects from leading labels and artists. The partnership allows Slip.stream creators to choose from more than 200 GrimesAI tracks and use the beats in their content. Slip.stream has also launched a suite of AI tools to enhance creativity, including an AI-powered Video Soundtrack Genie and an Audio Content Genie.
