AWS enhances AI services with foundation model capabilities for improved performance - SiliconANGLE

Nov 28, 2023 - news.bensbites.co
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a range of new artificial intelligence service capabilities that are enhanced using foundation models (FMs). These include Amazon Transcribe, which now offers FM-powered language support and AI-enhanced call analytics, Amazon Personalize, which uses FMs to generate more compelling content, and Amazon Lex, which now uses large language models to provide accurate conversation responses. The new features are aimed at improving accuracy, ease of use, customization, user safety, and privacy across all supported languages.

In addition, Amazon Personalize now offers hyper-personalization with FMs through a feature called Content Generator, which uses natural language to create engaging text that describes the thematic connections between recommended items. Amazon Lex also now offers Conversation FAQ, a new capability that answers frequently asked customer questions intelligently and at scale. This is powered by FMs from Amazon Bedrock and approved knowledge sources, simplifying bot development and enabling companies to provide accurate, automated responses to common customer inquiries.
