Betaworks bets on AI agents in latest 'Camp' cohort | TechCrunch

Apr 16, 2024 - techcrunch.com
Betaworks, an investor and incubator, has trained and funded nine AI agent startups that aim to automate everyday tasks. The startups, part of Betaworks' latest "Camp" incubator, include Twin, which automates tasks using an "action model", Skej, which simplifies the process of scheduling meetings, and Jsonify, an advanced website scraper. Betaworks CEO, John Borthwick, believes that despite the technology being in its early stages, some customers are ready to embrace it.

The startups are part of Betaworks Camp, a three-month accelerator program where selected companies receive hands-on help with their product, strategy, and connections, along with a $500K check from Betaworks, Mozilla Ventures, Differential Ventures, and Stem AI. The startups will present their products on demo day, May 7. Other startups in the cohort include Resolvd AI, Floode, Extensible AI, Opponent, High Dimensional Research, and Mbodi.
