CARPL guides healthcare providers through the growing market of radiology AI apps | TechCrunch

Feb 01, 2024 - techcrunch.com
San Francisco-based startup CARPL has raised $6 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners to expand its AI marketplace for radiology. The platform helps healthcare providers discover, explore, validate, and deploy AI applications to streamline radiology processes. The company, which counts the Singapore government among its clients, plans to use the funding to hire in North America and continue developing its technology. CARPL has onboarded more than 50 AI developers with 100 apps, making it the largest AI marketplace in terms of AI apps offered to customers.

CARPL was founded in 2021 by Dr. Vidur Mahajan, who has over 12 years of experience in the diagnostics industry. The platform addresses the challenge of integrating multiple AI solutions across different body-part and disease combinations, providing a single user-interface, a single data channel, and a single procurement system. This not only makes picking AI apps easier for healthcare providers but also faster to validate and deploy. The company plans to expand into other sub-specialities like digital pathology, oncology, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and gastroenterology.
