ChatGPT-4 Beat Doctors at Diagnosing Illness, Study Finds - Slashdot

A study designed by Dr. Adam Rodman, a Boston-based internal medicine expert, tested 50 licensed physicians to see if the AI chatbot, ChatGPT, improved their diagnoses. The study found that doctors who used ChatGPT along with conventional resources performed only slightly better than those who did not. Surprisingly, the chatbot alone outperformed the doctors, scoring an average of 90% in diagnosing a medical condition from a case report and explaining its reasoning, compared to the doctors' average score of 76%.
