ChatGPT is a squeeze away with Nothing’s upgraded earbuds | TechCrunch

Apr 18, 2024 - techcrunch.com
Nothing, a London-based mobile company, has announced updates to its earbud line, the Nothing Ear and the Nothing Ear (a). The company has integrated ChatGPT, a generative AI program, into their new earbuds, allowing users to ask questions via the headphones' stem if they have the ChatGPT app installed on a connected Nothing handset. The feature will be available exclusively for both of the new earbuds. The company also plans to improve the Nothing smartphone user experience in Nothing OS by embedding system-level entry points to ChatGPT.

The new earbuds offer improved sound quality due to a new driver system, and a longer battery life, with up to 25% more than the Ear (2). The Ear (a) also brings noise-canceling improvements. The company is also introducing a bright yellow colorway for the earbuds, departing from the traditional black and white aesthetic. The Ear and Ear (a) are priced at $149 and $99, respectively, with shipping starting from April 22. Preorders for both earbuds start today.
