Figma introduces FigJam AI to spare designers from boring planning prep

Nov 07, 2023 - theverge.com
Figma has introduced FigJam AI, a new suite of generative AI tools for its collaborative whiteboard service FigJam. The tools generate ready-to-use templates for common design and planning projects, reducing the time needed to manually create these projects. The AI suite, which is currently free for all customer tiers, is available in open beta from November 7th. It includes features like Generate, which suggests prompts to create templates, and Sort, which organizes virtual sticky notes into groups based on key themes.

In an interview, Figma CEO Dylan Field revealed that the current FigJam AI beta uses OpenAI foundation models, which can be swapped out for other AI models. He also mentioned that the company is considering other AI-related developments. The company is focusing on integrating AI in a way that is most impactful, rather than trying to incorporate every possible use case.
