Google announced a bunch of new AI features for Android at MWC

Google has announced new ways to interact with its AI, Gemini, from within Google Messages on any Android device. The feature, called Chat with Gemini, will allow users to draft messages, plan events, and pin ideas, without needing to install the Gemini app. The Android platform is also set to receive more AI features, including Android Auto's ability to summarize long texts and group chats, and offer potential replies while driving.

For visually impaired users, Lookout on Android will offer AI-generated descriptions of photos and images in messages. Google Maps will also have enhanced screen reader support. The next Wear OS update will allow Android watch users to access tickets, passes, and other wallet essentials from their wrist. Lastly, the Health Connect update will aggregate third-party health data from apps like AllTrails and MyFitnessPal into the Today tab in the Fitbit app.
