Google brings Gemini mobile app to India with nine Indian language support | TechCrunch

Google has launched its AI mobile app, Gemini, in India, supporting nine Indian languages in addition to English. The app allows users to type or speak in any of the supported languages to receive AI assistance. It also includes a paid feature, Gemini Advanced, which offers a 1 million token context window to process and understand a wide range of information. The app is available for Android users through the Play Store and can be accessed via Google Assistant. iPhone users in India will also be able to access Gemini through the Google app in the coming weeks.

The Gemini mobile app was first launched in the U.S. in February and later expanded to European markets, including Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, and the U.K. It also supports languages such as Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese. Google plans to roll out Gemini into Google Messages in English starting from today and will gradually expand its Gemini AI assistant into other apps like Gmail, Google Messages, and YouTube, as well as integrate it deeply within the Android operating system.
