Apr 04, 2024 - siliconangle.com
A new survey by Google Cloud and the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) reveals that 55% of organizations plan to adopt generative artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance their cybersecurity within the next year. The survey, which included 2,486 IT and security professionals, found that 67% of organizations have already tested AI for security enhancement, and nearly 50% are confident in their ability to integrate AI with security. However, the CSA warns that many organizations may be overlooking the technical complexities of AI integration.

Despite potential challenges, 63% of security professionals are optimistic about leveraging AI to improve threat detection and response. The survey also found that 30% of respondents believe AI will enhance their skill set, while 24% think it will replace large parts of their role. The majority of respondents anticipate 2024 as the year of AI implementation, with 55% planning to deploy security tools with generative AI capabilities later this year.
