Demis Hassabis, CEO and co-founder of Google's AI subsidiary DeepMind, has been awarded a knighthood in the U.K. for his services to artificial intelligence. Other recipients of honors for their contributions to AI include Ian Hogarth, chair of the U.K. government’s AI Safety Institute and founder of Songkick, and Matt Clifford, AI adviser to the U.K. Government and co-founder of Entrepreneur First, both of whom were awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).
