Google launches Gemini app for iOS worldwide | TechCrunch

Nov 14, 2024 - techcrunch.com
Google has launched a dedicated iOS app for its AI-powered assistant, Gemini, which supports 35 languages and allows users to converse with Gemini in 12 languages. The app also includes the new Gemini Live feature, and Google plans to add support for more languages soon. Other features of Gemini, such as recipe suggestions and study help, were already available through the Google app and mobile web, but Gemini Live is a new addition to the native iOS app.

The Gemini app also allows users to generate images through Google’s Imagen 3 model, and ask Gemini questions about Gmail, Maps, YouTube, and Calendar. Google released the Gemini Android app earlier this year, gradually adding support for more languages. The company also plans to integrate Google Gemini with Apple Intelligence in the future, with the iOS launch being a possible first step in this direction.
