Google's Bard chatbot can now tap into your Google apps, double check answers and more | TechCrunch

Sep 19, 2023 - techcrunch.com
Google is launching an improved version of its AI chatbot, Bard, which now allows users to verify its responses, collaborate with others, and integrate with Google's apps and services such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Maps, YouTube, and Google Flights and hotels. The new features are available through Bard Extensions and are currently only available in English. The company emphasizes that user data from Gmail, Drive, and Docs is not used for reinforcement learning and no human reviewers will see the emails Bard accesses.

In addition to these features, Bard now allows users to double-check the chatbot's responses using the "Google it" button, which validates every sentence Bard has written against Google search. Another update allows Bard users to collaborate with one another by continuing conversations shared through a public link. Google is also expanding access to Bard’s existing English language features to over 40 new languages.
