Guidewire, a platform for P&C insurers, has outlined its vision for modern core platforms in P&C insurance at its annual customer conference, Connections. The company introduced Las Leñas, a new release aimed at streamlining claims management and increasing agility across the insurance lifecycle. The release includes AI application service, underwriting with GenAI, claims servicing with GenAI, and developer productivity with GenAI. The company also announced Claims Intel, a product designed to deliver key insights throughout the claims lifecycle.

Las Leñas also includes new risk scoring tools for underwriters and actuaries, application performance monitoring, a U.S. Bureau Commercial Products Solution, and an Autopilot Workflow Service for PolicyCenter. The release will be generally available on December 6, 2024, with some features not available in all regions. Guidewire's CEO, Mike Rosenbaum, stated that the company's AI-powered applications will help insurers improve risk selection and pricing, optimize indemnity management, and enhance claims efficiency.
