Humane, an AI device company founded by ex-Apple employees, has laid off 10 staff members just weeks before the launch of its highly-anticipated device, the AI Pin. The wearable device, which can be clipped to clothing, allows interaction via voice, touch, or gesture and can project caller names onto the user's palm using a green laser. The device, which doesn't require pairing with a smartphone, is set to ship in March and will cost $699 with a $24 monthly subscription fee.
