Elon Musk is reportedly tapping his Silicon Valley connections, including venture capitalists from Andreessen Horowitz, Valor Equity Partners, and 8VC, to assist with his advisory panel for the Department of Government Efficiency. The panel, which is examining ways to overcome the technical challenges of collecting data about federal programs, includes Marc Andreessen, Antonio Gracias, and Joe Lonsdale. Andreessen Horowitz is also being considered for a position on a promised Trump administration crypto advisory council.

Meanwhile, Michael Kratsios, former chief tech officer under the first Trump administration, has been tapped to handle tech policy for Trump’s transition team.
