Meet OpenAI’s newest board members

Sam Altman is returning to the board of OpenAI, the company he was briefly ousted from in November, along with three new directors. The new board members include Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo, former U.S. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and former co-CEO of Salesforce Bret Taylor. The board will also be joined by Sue Desmond-Hellmann, former CEO of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; Nicole Seligman, former president of Sony Entertainment; and Instacart CEO Fidji Simo.

Fidji Simo is the current CEO and chair of Instacart and has previously worked with Meta Platforms. Sue Desmond-Hellman has held positions at Meta, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Proctor & Gamble, Pfizer, and the University of California. Nicole Seligman has served on the board of several companies including Paramount Global, MeiraGTx, and Intuitive Machines, and has held leadership roles at Sony.
