Microsoft is adding an AI button to PC keyboards

Jan 04, 2024 - businessinsider.com
Microsoft is introducing a new button to Windows PC keyboards that will allow users to access its AI companion, Copilot. The new Copilot key will be added to Windows 11 PCs starting late February, with the aim of making it easier for users to engage with AI. The key will appear on many new Windows 11 PCs, including upcoming Surface devices, and in some cases, it will replace the right CTRL key or Menu key.

Copilot, which has already been incorporated into Bing, Windows, and Office 365, has been popular among users. Users can currently access Copilot on Windows 10 or Windows 11 PCs by holding down the Windows and the C key. This move marks the first significant addition to the Windows PC keyboard in nearly three decades.
