Microsoft Outlook now lets you create personalized AI-powered themes | TechCrunch

Nov 07, 2024 - techcrunch.com
Microsoft has introduced a new feature in Outlook that uses generative AI to create themes based on user preferences. Available to Copilot Pro consumer subscribers and business accounts with Copilot enabled, the themes can be inspired by over 100 locations or the user's own location, and can be set to update dynamically. Users can choose to view the theme in a realistic, oil painting, or cartoon style. The themes can be accessed via Outlook’s Appearance Settings and are available on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and the web.

In addition to this, Microsoft has also brought AI-powered features to Notepad and Paint. Windows Insiders now have access to a “Rewrite” tool that uses AI to rephrase sentences, adjust tone, and modify content length. Paint users will get new AI image editing tools, including a Generative Fill feature for edits and additions using text prompts, and a Generative erase feature to remove unwanted objects. These features are being rolled out in preview on Windows 11 in the U.S., France, the U.K., Canada, Italy, and Germany.
