Microsoft really wants to talk about Copilot | TechCrunch

Mar 21, 2024 - techcrunch.com
Microsoft has announced the integration of its AI Copilot deeper into Windows during a virtual event that also unveiled two new Surface devices and various accessories. The AI Copilot, which aims to make employees more productive by summarizing meetings and documents they didn't attend or read, will now have a toggle on Windows 11 allowing users to switch between "Work" and "Web". The "Work" button will bring Microsoft 365 capabilities into the Windows interface, aiming to make the technology accessible to as many people as possible.

Microsoft is also leveraging cloud PCs delivered through Windows 365 as a platform for the Copilot. The Windows App, used to access these cloud PCs, has reportedly reached over 3 million active hours since its preview in November 2023. The company also revealed that Copilot can now perform basic IT functions from the chat and that Windows 365 cloud PCs can now be resized.
