Microsoft's Copilot AI chatbot app arrives on iOS

Dec 30, 2023 - engadget.com
Microsoft has launched a standalone Android app for its AI assistant, Microsoft Copilot, and has now made it available for iOS and iPad users via Apple's App Store. The AI assistant, powered by OpenAI's GPT-4, responds to typed questions, with the iOS version also having the ability to convert text into images using OpenAI's DALL-E 3 text-to-image AI system.

This is the latest in a series of Copilot products since Microsoft rebranded Bing Chat, having previously brought Copilot to Windows 10 and 11. The mobile rollouts, which are free to use, significantly expand the reach of the AI chatbot, potentially giving access to around a billion devices based on the platforms' user numbers.
