Sep 22, 2023 - news.bensbites.co
Microsoft is introducing new AI-powered features to its SwiftKey mobile keyboard app for iOS and Android. The app, which replaces the default keyboard on phones with an intelligent one that learns the user's writing style, will now include AI camera lenses, AI stickers, an AI-powered editor, and the ability to create AI images. The AI camera lenses, developed in collaboration with Snapchat maker Snap, allow users to create photos, videos, and GIFs with various effects. Users can also create AI stickers using Bing’s Image Creator and share them across different communication apps.

The app also includes an AI-powered "Editor" feature to help users improve their grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Bing Image Creator is now directly accessible from the app’s keyboard, enabling users to take a picture or upload an existing photo to get Visual Search results from Bing in the app. Microsoft has been upgrading SwiftKey for several months, integrating it with Bing to allow users to search with Bing, chat with Bing Chat, or use AI to customize their text tone. The new features are being rolled out to SwiftKey on both iOS and Android.
