Microsoft’s unified Copilot is coming to Windows, Edge, and everywhere else

Microsoft has announced a unified Copilot experience, set to launch on September 26th. The new AI companion, simply named Copilot, will be integrated into Windows 11 and will be available across all frequently used apps and experiences, including Office 365, Windows, the Edge browser, and Bing. Yusuf Mehdi, the consumer chief marketing officer, described Copilot as a bridge between the user and technology, designed to be available when needed and unobtrusive when not.

The announcement was made by Nathan Edwards, a senior reviews editor who has been testing tech since 2007. The unified Copilot experience is a merger of the formerly separate Copilot experiences. The announcement is part of a series of updates and announcements from Microsoft's Surface and AI event.
