Most-Active US Investors: Andreessen Horowitz, GV And Alumni Have Big February

In February, Andreessen Horowitz led the way among all investors, sealing 15 funding deals with U.S.-based startups, according to Crunchbase data. This is more than double the number of deals made by the two second-place firms, GV and Alumni Ventures. Andreessen Horowitz's investments included a $70 million Series B for Ambience Healthcare, a $170 million Series D for BioAge Labs, and a $254 million round for blood-test developer Freenome.

Alumni Ventures and GV each completed seven deals in February. Alumni Ventures' investments ranged from AI to healthcare to finance to VR, including a $21 million Series B for Ezra AI and a $20 million Series A for StatusPro. GV, the investment arm of Alphabet, led a $9.3 million seed round for Glass Imaging and participated in a $75 million Series A for Areteia Therapeutics. Other notable investors for the month included Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins, and Sands Capital Ventures.
