New jobs AI will create that you may not need a college degree for

Nov 30, 2023 - businessinsider.com
The adoption of AI is expected to eliminate some jobs but also create new ones, some of which may not require a college degree and could offer high salaries. According to a World Economic Forum report, roles such as telemarketers, credit authorizers, statistical assistants, and bank tellers are most at risk of being replaced by AI. However, there are also areas where AI job development is expected, with over 10,000 job postings related to generative AI from companies like Meta, Amazon, and Capital One already seen this year.

The report also outlined five new jobs that AI could create in the future. These include AI model and prompt engineers, interface and interaction designers, AI content creators, data curators and trainers, and ethics and governance specialists. These roles could offer salaries of well over $100,000 and may not necessarily require a college degree, with online courses and training programs potentially providing an accessible path into the AI industry.
