Nvidia announces $700 million acquisition of Run:ai

Nvidia has announced plans to acquire AI infrastructure management platform Run:ai, in a deal estimated to be worth around $700 million. The acquisition is Nvidia's largest in Israel since its purchase of Mellanox for $6.9 billion in 2019. Run:ai, which has been a close collaborator with Nvidia since 2020, has developed a Kubernetes-based container platform for AI clouds that efficiently pools and shares GPUs.

Following the acquisition, Nvidia plans to continue offering Run:ai’s products under the same business model and will continue to invest in the Run:ai product roadmap as part of NVIDIA DGX Cloud. Run:ai’s solutions are already integrated with several Nvidia products, including NVIDIA DGX, NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD, and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software.
