Nvidia Joins Ongoing Race in Quantum-Computing Cloud Services
Mar 19, 2024 - bloomberg.com
Nvidia Corp. has introduced a cloud service, Nvidia Quantum Cloud, for researchers to test their quantum-computing software. The service initially consists of a data center filled with AI chips and systems that collectively simulate a quantum computer, as explained by Tim Costa, the company's director of high performance computing and quantum computing.
Unlike other cloud services, Nvidia's does not currently have a quantum computer attached to it. However, it plans to provide access to third-party quantum computers in the future, according to Costa.
