South Korean AI chip startup Rebellions has raised $124 million in a Series B funding round to develop its third AI chip, Rebel, and increase production of its data center-focused chip, Atom. The round, led by telecom giant KT, values the three-year-old company at approximately $658 million. The funding will also be used for hiring and was oversubscribed, with an initial target of $90 million. The startup has raised around $210 million since its inception in 2020.

Rebellions is partnering with Samsung Electronics to develop the Rebel chip, which will target the generative AI market.
