Feb 06, 2024 - venturebeat.com
Starship Technologies, an autonomous delivery services provider, has raised $90 million in funding, bringing its total funding to $230 million since 2014. The company plans to use the new capital to expand globally and meet the increasing demand for home deliveries. Starship's robots, which have made over six million deliveries, are now a common sight in 80 locations worldwide, including the U.S., UK, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, and Finland.

The company's robots can operate for 18 hours on a full charge and have contributed to a reduction of nearly 1.8 million kilograms of carbon dioxide since their launch. The recent funding will allow Starship to further develop its AI, technology, and wireless charging infrastructure, and expand its delivery-as-a-service (DaaS) product. This product integrates Starship robots into the delivery infrastructure of its partners, including Bolt, Co-Op, Aramark, Sodexo, Chartwells, and Grubhub.
