Titan AI leverages generative AI to streamline mobile game development | TechCrunch

Dec 06, 2023 - techcrunch.com
Titan AI, a mobile games studio, has raised over $500,000 in pre-seed funding led by Berkeley SkyDeck. The company uses generative AI to reduce the cost and speed of creating 2D and 3D content for games. It uses image generators Stable Diffusion and DALL-E to create 2D graphics and combines them with 3D models using proprietary technology. The company is also training AI to build level segments. Titan AI was co-founded by Fabien-Pierre Nicolas, former VP of U.S. marketing at SmartNews, and Victor Ceitelis, co-founder of Scenario.

The company aims to create more inclusive experiences for underrepresented players. Its first game, Aztec Spirit Run, features a main character who defends the temple's treasure against Conquistadores. The studio has also launched three other prototypes and plans to use generative AI to allow players to design their own in-game avatar. The games are free to play, with revenue generated from in-app ads and paid features. The funding round included participation from seven angel investors.
