Dec 05, 2024 - financialpost.com
Wasabi Technologies, a hot cloud storage company, announced it is expanding its data management offerings for customers by adding IBM Cloud’s London data center to its storage regions. The move is aimed at helping joint customers meet their regulatory requirements and leverage AI and other emerging technologies with a secure, enterprise cloud platform. Wasabi's deployment in IBM’s London Multizone Region (MZR) will particularly benefit UK customers using Wasabi AiR, an intelligent media storage solution for the sports, media, and entertainment segment, by addressing their data residency requirements.

One of the key beneficiaries of this expansion is Liverpool Football Club (LFC), which uses Wasabi AiR to manage its media assets securely and at scale. The partnership with Wasabi allows LFC to efficiently manage its large library of media assets, quickly access relevant content segments, and streamline content creation. The collaboration between IBM and Wasabi is designed to enable enterprises to run applications across any environment and help users to cost efficiently access and use key business data and analytics in real time.
