Sam Altman, OpenAI boss, and Jony Ive, legendary iPhone designer, are reportedly collaborating on a consumer AI device. They have hired Tang Tan, Apple's design chief, to design the new product. Tan, who led the product design of the iPhone and Apple Watch, will join LoveFrom, Ive's design firm, to work on the hardware engineering of the product, while OpenAI will provide the software.
