You can watch TikTok videos on Samsung’s new AI-enabled smart fridge

Dec 27, 2023 - theverge.com
Samsung is developing a smart fridge, the 2024 Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+, which includes AI features such as an internal camera that can identify individual food items and a connected app that suggests recipes based on what's in stock. The fridge can connect to a user's Samsung Health profile to tailor recipes to dietary needs and has a feature that can recognize meals and food items from photos. The fridge, which can identify up to 33 food items, also allows users to manually enter expiration dates and sends notifications when items are about to expire.

This new model, set to be unveiled at CES next year, emphasizes AI features more than previous models, which focused on Internet of Things integrations. The 2024 model is seen as the centerpiece to Samsung’s other AI kitchen products and the wider Samsung ecosystem. Also expected next year is the 2024 model of Samsung’s cooktop, the Anyplace Induction Cooktop, which includes a slide-in range and seven-inch LCD screens for viewing recipes from the Samsung Food app.
