GitHub Data Explorer Overview

GitHub Data Explorer is an AI-powered tool that allows users to input questions and translates these questions into SQL. This tool is integrated with Text2SQL capabilities in Chat2Query, a feature of TiDB Cloud. It uses data from GH Archive, a non-profit project that archives all GitHub event data since 2011. However, the AI is still a work in progress and may have limitations such as a lack of context, inability to produce the most efficient SQL statement for complex queries, and occasional service instability. Users can optimize their questions by using clear, specific phrases related to GitHub. The tool also has a limitation on the number of questions that can be asked per hour, which is currently set at 15.
