AWS App Studio promises to generate enterprise apps from a written prompt | TechCrunch

Jul 11, 2024 - news.bensbites.com
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a new tool called App Studio, which uses generative AI to create enterprise software applications from a written prompt. The tool is designed for IT professionals, data engineers, enterprise architects, and product managers who may not have coding skills but understand the company's needs for internal software applications. Users describe the application they need and the data sources they wish to use, and the system generates a list of requirements for the application based on this description.

App Studio is different from other no-code tools as it uses GenAI to significantly reduce the learning curve, according to Sriram Devanathan, GM of Amazon Q Apps and AWS App Studio. Once the application is complete, it goes through a mini DevOps pipeline for testing before deployment. The tool uses multiple models running on Amazon Bedrock, including Amazon Titan and Anthropic, depending on the job. App Studio is available in preview starting Wednesday.
