Talpa Overview

Talpa is an innovative, AI-powered library search tool that leverages authoritative book data to provide accurate search results. It is a project of LibraryThing and is backed by data from Bowker, Syndetics Unbound from ProQuest, and LibraryThing. Talpa uses AI technology from Claude AI from Anthropic and ChatGPT from OpenAI in two ways: to query large language models for books and other media, and to parse and understand queries. It is currently available for free to all libraries that use Syndetics Unbound from ProQuest and LibraryThing.
