A Virtual Mailbox is a service that provides a physical mailing address for receiving all your mail and packages. The service scans the outside and inside of any received packages and sends an email notification of the delivered items. It manages all your postal mail, saving you the trouble of doing it yourself. The service offers real street addresses and additional services that are not provided by PO Boxes at your local post office. These include free package storage, mail forwarding, and an address to use as a virtual office on business cards. The service also handles all discarded mail properly. Currently, two mailing addresses are offered, one in Los Angeles, California, and another in Dallas, Texas. The service stores physical mail for up to 30 days, after which any remaining mail is shredded or destroyed. All incoming mail is scanned to your virtual mailbox within 24 business hours of arrival. The service also processes junk mail, which is scanned and sent to your virtual mailbox. Certified mail with receipt is also supported. The cost of the service is $39 per month, which includes free mail scanning with every account.
